Join our growing team: Industrial Refrigeration Engineer required

To help fulfil our expansion plans and cope with increasing demand, we need to recruit a skilled Industrial Refrigeration Engineer to become part of our friendly team.

The ideal person will be based in either the Midlands, Lincolnshire or East Anglia region and have excellent communication skills to deal with customers in this front-facing role.

We offer environmentally friendly, sustainable solutions to our clients, primarily within the food processing, agricultural and pharmaceutical sectors. Therefore, a recognised qualification and significant knowledge of working with and on industrial refrigeration systems is essential.

Whilst daily duties will vary, the role entails carrying out a variety of tasks both independently and onsite alongside other skilled and experienced refrigeration engineers.

What we are looking for:

  • Good knowledge and experience working on industrial refrigeration systems – including compressors, evaporators, condensers, and control systems
  • Understanding of different refrigerants – ammonia, CO2, and HFCs
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Experience of commissioning new installations 
  • Electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge for troubleshooting
  • Good diagnostic skills to identify and resolve system faults 
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure

Qualifications required:

  • Apprenticeship or recognised Industrial Refrigeration training course
  • Relevant certifications like C&G 2079 (Refrigerant Handling), ACRIB (Ammonia Refrigeration Certification)
  • Full clean UK driving licence

Skills needed:

  • Health and Safety focused with awareness of relevant regulations - refrigerants and working in industrial environments
  • Experienced in safe handling procedures for hazardous refrigerants like ammonia
  • Able to work with all levels of staff and subcontractors
  • Good with customers and in a front facing role
  • Competent working independently
